چکیده

Dynamic system reconfiguration techniques are presented that can enable the systematic evolution of software systems due to unanticipated changes in specification or requirements. The methodological approach is based upon a domain analysis, which identifies a set of concepts that reflect the types of reconfigurations possible and the system integrity characteristics that must be maintained during such reconfigurations, a domain design, which is expressed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a constraint-driven representation of the domain analysis, and a domain implementation, which uses a programming environment that supports explicit metaclass programming to realize an executable model of the analysis and design. It was learned that explicit metaclass programming can effectively be used to encode the constrained model, as a static representation, at the metalevel. With respect to dynamic reconfiguration, it was learned that a base-level object could be an instance of a property metaclass that is unique to that base-level object. Through a mixin mechanism, emergent run-time properties could be dynamically applied just to that object. The set of available mixins should also be adjusted dynamically. This is the subject of future work.

Access control in ultra-large-scale systems using a data-centric middleware

The primary characteristic of an Ultra-Large-Scale (ULS) system is ultra-large size on any related dimension. A ULS system is generally considered as a system-of-systems with heterogeneous nodes and autonomous domains. As the size of a system-of-systems grows, and interoperability demand between sub-systems is increased, achieving more scalable and dynamic access control system becomes an im...

A mathematical model for the design of distributed layout by considering production planning and system reconfiguration over multiple time periods

In this paper, we develop a new mathematical model that integrates layout configuration and production planning in the design of dynamic distributed layouts. The model incorporates a number of important manufacturing attributes such as demand fluctuation, system reconfiguration, lot splitting, work load balancing, alternative routings, machine capability and tooling requirements. In addition, t...

A Robust Model for a Dynamic Cellular Manufacturing System with Production Planning

In this paper, a robust optimization approach is proposed to design a dynamic cellular manufacturing system (DCMS) under uncertainty of processing time of products. In addition, a mathematical model considering cell formation, inter-cell design and production planning under a dynamic environment (i.e., product mix and demand are changed in each period) is presented. Therefore, reconfiguration b...

Automatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach

Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...

Feasibility study of presenting a dynamic stochastic model based on mixed integer second-order conic programming to solve optimal distribution network reconfiguration in the presence of resources and demand-side management

Nowadays, with the use of devices such as fossil distributed generation and renewable energy resources and energy storage systems that are operated at the level of distribution networks, the problem of optimal reconfiguration has faced major challenges, so any change in the power of this resources can have different results in reconfiguration. Similarly, load changes during the day can lead to ...
